PEAK-F is a liquid suspension supplement produced by Bundaberg Molasses for use by small-scale feedlots.
Suspension supplements are a unique medium by which soluble and insoluble concentrates are added to the ration, including urea, vitamins, rumen modifier, salt and other trace elements.

Unlike simple blend manufacturers, the technology
Bundaberg Molasses employs allows concentrates with high specific gravity to be suspended in a liquid using
either a clay or gum suspension agent. This technology was pioneered by Bundaberg Molasses’ United States
affiliate PM Ag Products over 20 years ago.
The viscosity developed with our suspension agents is thixotropic. That is, they form a gel at rest, but become pumpable when agitation or shear is applied. Agitation can simply be the suction developed by a positive displacement pump used to deliver the product from the tank to the feed truck or trailer. It is this thick - thin phenomena that allows PEAK-F to suspend and stabilise insoluble
ingredients and yet be pumped as a liquid.

Organic Zinc is an organic compound that contains the trace mineral zinc bonded to an essential amino acid. Organic Zinc is a non-antibiotic feed additive vital to health, growth & protein synthesis in food producing animals. It is designed to provide animals with zinc and an amino acid in a freely available form to improve their health and production.
Why Does an Animal Need the Trace Mineral Zinc?
Zinc is required by animals to maintain many biological functions in the body.
It is essential as an activator or a constituent of several essential enzyme systems.
It stimulates the immune system.
It increases the absorption of nutrients.
It is required for lean tissue growth and development.
Zinc is also required for the synthesis and maturation of keratin which is an insoluble protein that is the main structural element in hair and hooves.
Zinc speeds wound healing by: increasing the rate of epithelial tissue repair and maintaining cellular integrity e.g., skin, reproductive tract and intestinal lining.

Quality Assurance
Bundaberg Molasses, Oakey plant, is quality assured to ISO 9001 - 2008 standards. Our products are designed and manufactured to meet nutritional requirements whilst ensuring product stability and ease of handling. Products are tested regularly to further ensure that nutrient content, viscosity and stability criteria are met.
Technical Support
Through our overseas and Australian affiliations and technically qualified employees within Bundaberg Molasses, we are able to design, formulate, produce, transport, handle and store suspension supplements, thus ensuring that every phase of the process is technically and environmentally sound.
In feedlots, the mechanics used to transport, store and handle PEAK-F supplements are similar to those used for molasses, except that PEAK-F is far less viscous and has lower specific gravity than molasses (e.g. 1.28 vs 1.4). PEAK-F can be pumped through slightly smaller pipes than molasses and the tank walls do not need to be quite as strong, though still stronger than is required for water
storage. Positive displacement pumps such as internal gear pumps are suitable but pump specialists and
Bundaberg Molasses staff can give further advice to
ensure the pump chosen is the most suitable for individual situations.

Large scale feedlot supplements are also available and can be formulated using Bundaberg Molasses formulations or those provided by your nutritionist.
